Each year, Cobb County Farm Bureau awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors and current undergraduate students. Applicants must be Cobb County residents pursuing a degree in Agriculture, Forestry or Family/Consumer Sciences. This year winners are Meredith Holland and Brandon Kirk.
Meredith is pursuing her undergraduate in Animal Science/Pre-Vet at Berry College. She currently holds a 3.67 GPA and is active in her community. She is passionate about educating ranchers in her community on how to maintain a healthy heard. Meredith aspires to one day have her very own veterinary practice.
Brandon is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing with a concentration in Agriculture Marketing and Strategic Management at Kennesaw State University. Brandon currently holds an impressive 3.82 GPA while being employed at Smith-Gilbert Gardens and serving multiple leadership roles in Cobb County. Brandon plans to combine his agricultural experience with his education to assist farmers with the best options to grown high yields for the best price and leave the lowest carbon footprint.
We are very proud of both of these individuals and wish them the best in their endeavors.
Congratulations Meredith Holland and Brandon Kirk!
